A DSB-SSB AM transmitter is used to demonstrate amplitude modulation techniques, including DSB and SSB, allowing users to study signal generation, transmission, and waveform behavior.
A DSB transmitter sends upper and lower sidebands and carrier, whereas in an SSB transmitter, only one sideband is sent, which is more efficient and reduces bandwidth compared to DSB transmission.
The Scientech 2201 operates on the principle of producing a carrier signal with an oscillator and modulating it with an audio signal to generate DSB and SSB output signals. Users are able to view waveforms, measure voltages, and examine signal behavior on several test points.
This system helps users understand DSB and SSB amplitude modulation, signal generation, waveform analysis, and how both DSB transmitter and SSB transmitter circuits operate by performing practical experiments.
It offers modular circuit design, multiple test points, built-in fault simulation, and real-time waveform observation, making it ideal for hands-on learning.
